Campus Gateway Initiative
NJIT's Campus Gateway project is a multifaceted plan to revitalize the area around the NJIT campus. The project will provide many amenities essential to creating an exciting urban lifestyle for the area’s thousands of university students, faculty, staff, and Newark residents.
If you look in the news section of this site, you’ll see it’s pretty thorough and up to date. It also puts the Greek Village into the context of the broader vision for the entire area. If not a link for The Edge, maybe a link to send alumni who are interested so they can keep up on the progress?

NJIT’s Fab Lab Enables Award-Winning Walkway Constructed Near WTC
A ton of plywood, a willing patron and an innovative architecture professor have joined forces to create what arguably might be New York’s most beautiful sidewalk. Lower Manhattan architect Richard Garber, an assistant professor in the New Jersey School of Architecture at NJIT, took first place last month in a competition to design, develop and build a visually pleasing and utilitarian construction site walkway.
