Delta Eta Petition
The Delta Eta Chapter presented a petition to Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia sometime in 1947 and was chartered on March 7, 1948. The chapter is located at Youngstown State University.
The petition refers to the organization as the Delta Iota Music Fraternity. While only speculation, there are two possible reasons for this name:

It may have been the name of the group as a local music fraternity. |

There may have been some miscommunication about the next available chapter name at that time. (The Delta Iota Chapter exists at Western Michigan University which was chartered a month later.) |
