Inaugural Lyrecrest Open and Alumni Weekend
On July 13-15, the Sinfonian Educational Foundation (SEF) is hosting the inaugural Lyrecrest Open and Alumni Weekend in Evansville, Indiana. The event is centered on a golf outing to be held at the Eagle Valley Golf Club on Saturday, July 14.
The Lyrecrest Open and Alumni Weekend was created due to numerous requests from alumni Sinfonians asking for this type of social gathering. The SEF is working with the Fraternity to ensure that the event is not only beneficial to the mission of the SEF, but is enjoyable for its members.
The event promises to be a social, yet informative event for the Fraternity’s |

alumni. On Friday evening, a reception for all golf participants will be held. Along with Saturday’s golf event, the Fraternity’s archives will be open for viewing at the National Headquarters. On Sunday, an alumni forum is planned to meet and talk with a number of the Fraternity’s national and regional alumni leaders.

The golf outing is actually only one of three Sinfonian event taking place this weekend. While alumni members are teeing off, an estimated 200 collegiate members will be attending the 2007 Leadership Institute at the University of Southern Indiana. In addition, a number of Province Alumni Coordinators (PAC) will be engaged in training sessions with the Alumni Affairs Committee at the National Headquarters.
All three groups will join together on Saturday evening for a banquet recognizing Leadership Institute attendees and to hand out awards for the golf outing participants. After the banquet, all brothers are invited to stay and participate in a and exemplification of the Fraternity's Ritual.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for both our collegiate and alumni members. Our alumni will get to meet the current and future leaders of the Fraternity. Our collegians will observe our alumni living Sinfonia as a lifelong experience," remarked Matt Garber, director of development for the SEF.
Daniel Krueger, director of alumni affairs for Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, stated, "There hasn’t been a national alumni-specific event in recent history that allowed our alumni to gather for social and fraternal purposes. The success of this event will assist us in determining what our members want from the Fraternity and Foundation."
The cost to take part in the Lyrecrest Open and Alumni Weekend is only $99 per person. Alumni members who want to attend are welcome to bring spouses, significant others or other guests who wish to participate in the golf outing. Your registration fee covers:
