Centennial Celebration Commences

In a little more than two years, Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity will be 100 years old. We will commemorate the occasion in a number of ways. Special event dinners will be held across North America, during which we will recognize meritorious achievements by our Fraternity brothers. Our chapters will celebrate in various ways of their choosing. We will ask our alumni to be generous with their resources to help insure the Fraternity’s future. We want to grow the Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation, the educational arm of our organization, so we can do more than we ever thought, more than the founders imagined. Howard Miller, my Co-Chairman, and I, wish to make the Centennial campaign an event worth remembering for the next century of Sigma Alpha Mu brotherhood.

We can insure that by doing more than recognizing and reminiscing, we can make a difference in our Fraternity by using the 100th anniversary to invigorate interest and commitment, promote the ideals of Sigma Alpha Mu and perpetuate the Fraternity in a way we have never tried before now.

You can assist in the Centennial celebration by doing three things. First, you can spread the good name of Sigma Alpha Mu around. Remember how the Fraternity helped you accomplish your goals or how it made you into a better person. Or how it gave you something you did not have before. Help us spread that good name so we can help others. Second, when a Centennial event comes to your city, help us invigorate interest in ΣΑΜ by attending. Reach out to your Fraternity brothers so they may join you. The Centennial is about remembering the past and insuring the future. It’s about paying forward. So, lastly, give what you can and watch our Fraternity, and children, benefit.
